A sighting of The Night Hag is a highly-reported phenomenon in which a creature pins it’s “victims” down in their bed while they are asleep by sitting on their chest and rendering them temporarily paralyzed. While some report seeing an old, hag-faced evil female presence, others do not actually see anyone but sense someone is in the room. All report a feeling of evil and dread. Also commonly known as Old Hag Syndrome.
The name, “Night Hag” stems from mythology and over time has become a generic term for the being witnesses have seen in their darkened bedrooms.
In addition to paralysis, people have reported hearing odd sounds (hissing, static and buzzing, and voices whispering or screaming); they feel fear, panic, tingling and sometimes have the sensation of being suffocated and then dragged out of their beds.
There have been many studies conducted on the subject but no definitive cause has been conclusively found. While there are several theories as to what causes this unfortunately all-too-common occurrence, (sleep disorders such as narcolepsy and parasomnia are at the top of the scientific list), there is NO doubt it definitely exists.
Sleep disorders are the more skeptical explanation and do not account for the entity sitting on your chest, making sounds only heard at the gates of hell and dragging you out of bed by your foot. That’s something else besides a bad dream or a deep REM sleep.

15-20% of people will experience Night Hag Syndrome at some point in their life.
It might even happen to you. Or has it already??
