Ley Lines are hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and mysterious places.
This geographic mystery consists of perfectly straight paths in the landscape and researchers speculate they connect significant places on the earth. They are also known as energy vortexes.There is great debate as to whether or not ley lines actually do exist.
Some examples are Stonehenge, the Great pyramids of Egypt, Machu Picchu, the Bermuda Triangle.
Researchers believe there are actually two types of ley lines:
1. energy ley lines and
Supposedly, most leys are made of positive energy. They can intersect and create negative energy which acts like a super-powerful magnet. This location allegedly attracts vibrational spirits and entities. It can also affect human behaviour.
It is interesting to note that as I have mentioned, water plays an important role in ley lines. More hauntings and paranormal activity in general are said to occur at sites where underground water, rock wells and rock strata are located.
New Ross, N.S. has been of particular interest in the last few years with the tv show The Curse of Oak Island piquing everyone’s interest once again regarding the infamous buried treasure. Cast and crew of the show travelled to New Ross in one episode to investigate remnants of what is believed to be an old castle, a holy well and some gravesites, which may or may not be related to whatever allegedly is on (or was on) Oak Island. Regardless, wouldn’t you know it? New Ross has ley lines of its own:

True ley lines are ancient “tracks” discovered in the 1920’s and seem to connect important sacred sites around the world. That being said, one could argue that any two points on a map can easily connect with a straight line, and are thereby connecting simply by coincidence. But what if they aren’t?
